30 Bible Verses to Praise God
I am currently in a bit of a strange season with my faith journey. I’m still doing all the things “good” Christians are supposed to do. I’m attending church regularly. I’m reading the Bible daily. I have my car’s radio parked on a worship station. I’m praying.
But I feel more lost than I have in a long time. The circumstances surrounding me are weighing me down, and I can’t help but feeling that I’m doing this whole Christian thing “wrong.” I feel like I’m failing at everything I’m trying to do.
Am I hearing the Holy Spirit, or am I just following myself? Am I messing up my kids and raising them wrong? Am I treating my husband the way he deserves to be treated, or am I too grouchy and mean?
I know in my head that I’m listening to lies. Have you been there too? Where you hear the lie and you know it’s not true, but your heart and head are disconnected and the lie still creeps into your daily life?
I’m falling into the trap of me. I’m spending so much time thinking about me and the things I’m doing and the things I want to control, that I’m not fixing my eyes on God and His truth and sovereignty. Sure I’m praying daily, but my prayers consist of me and my circumstances. I’m forgetting to praise Him and focus on His character.

29. James 5: 13

30. 1 Peter 1:7
so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
In my current season, I have been so focused on me that I haven’t been praising my God. With these Bible verses to praise God, I will shift my focus on who He is, His character, and His promises.
Blessings Friend.
